DEL Run 3: Takbo Para Sa Marikina Watershed

Marikina is such a lovely place!  Thanks to the local government and its people who make sure that the city is very clean and organized.  Wander around and you would notice that their environment is litter-free!

Regret that Marikina is always a victim of floods.  Good thing the local government of Marikina, the Rotary Club of Marikina, RunRio, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Manila Water, Gatorade, Timex, and Botak join hands to help raise funds for the Marikina Watershed Foundation.

DEL Run 3: Takbo Para Sa Marikina Watershed scheduled on April 13, 2014 at the Marikina Sports Park aims to continue the tree planting program and the upkeep of the Marikina Watershed, which serves as the first line of defense of the city against rainwater coming down from the Sierra Madre mountain ranges.

The event also aims to provide livelihood with the planting of Robusta Coffee which is a great plant that absorbs water and holds well the soil.

Registration is at P600 only for both the 5k and 10k race categories.  Head to the following sites to register:
  • Toby's SM Mall of Asia
  • Toby's SM North EDSA The Block
  • ROX Bonifacio High Street
  • Marikina City Hall
Cash prizes are at stake for the top 3 finishers of each race category.

Take part in this very worthy advocacy!  Hope to see you there!
