Recovery is an important part of training, as it allows our running muscles, cardiovascular, and respiratory, and mental (yes!) system to rest, repair, and refresh for the next training season.
Recovery does not mean doing absolutely nothing. Active recovery means deliberately working out at low intensity levels.
Unilab Active Health, the team responsible for the successful Run United Series, introduces the Run United HP Recovery Run happening on December 14, 2014 at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
The Run United HP Recovery Run is a non-competitive running event exclusive to finishers of any 2014 Run United Race. Categories available are 5k, 10k, and 21k. Unilab Active Health Athletes will serve as pacers for 5k and 10k to ensure that each participant slows down to achieve maximum recovery levels.
After finishing the recovery distance, participants will be welcomed to the Enervon HP Recovery Village. Several other recovery activities will be discussed by members of the University of Santo Tomas-Department of Sports Science.
Registration is ongoing until November 30, 2014 in Runnr Bonifacio High Street, and Toby's in SM North EDSA The Block, SM Mall of Asia, and Robinsons Galleria. Online registration is also available via www.runrio.com. Registration fees are P750 for 5k, P850 for 10k, and P950 for 21k.
