Last Saturday, March 7, 2015, boys and girls aged 6 to 14 years old swam, pedalled, and ran in Alaska Ironkids Triathlon held in Subic, Bataan.
The atmosphere was festive and you can feel the energy and excitement of the participants as they prepare their gears in the transition area like grown up triathletes, and listened attentively to Race Director, Coach Ani de Leon-Brown during the race briefing. Parents and siblings were present to support and cheer the young triathletes who competed in the spirit of fun and camaraderie.

Top finishers received their trophy and teddy bears. All finishers got their medals.
But even before the start of the race, all participants were already CHAMPIONS! They trained and learned the value of hard work and discipline in conquering challenges and reaching dreams. Parents and coaches guided them along the way, through proper nutrition, rest, and recovery.
