Cobra IronMan 70.3 Philippines & Alaska Ironkids | 3-4 Aug 2013 | Cebu

The stage is set for the Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines on August 4, 2013 in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

2000+ participants will swim the 1.2 miles beach of Shangri-La's Mactan Resort & Spa, bike the 56 mile route traversing the four (4) cities of Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue, Cebu City, and Talisay, and run 13.1 miles at Punta Engano, Lapu-Lapu City.

Meanwhile, hundreds of young Filipino triathletes aged 6 to 14 years old will race the Alaska Ironkids on August 3, 2013.  This event has become a venue to promote an active lifestyle among the kids, and an opportunity for the family to spend quality time together.

The Pros will be back to compete in what the reigning Champ, Pete Jacobs, dubbed as his secret in winning the 2012 Ironman World Championship.  Here's another news flash revealed by Mr. Fred Uytengsu: Ironman World Champion Chris "MACCA" McCormack will race 2013 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines!
