Marathon Maniac?
Sometime last year, I heard about Marathon Maniacs and admired the feat achieved by the runners enlisted on the site.
Yep, I was inspired and wanted to be like them, but that was more of long term plan for me. Also, I find the membership criteria EXTREMELY DAUNTING considering my current fitness level. Below are the 'entry level' criteria. Click here for the complete membership criteria.
BRONZE LEVEL
- 2 Marathons within a 16 day time frame; OR
- 3 Marathons within a 90 day time frame.
- 3 Marathons within a 16 day time frame; OR
- 6 Marathons in 6 consecutive calendar months; OR
- 8 to 11 Marathons within 365 days.
UltraMarathons are considered. Finish times are not important, for as long as the distance made was during an official race event.
Another entry will be posted soon to check if I qualify to be a Marathon Maniac. For the meantime, be inspired with the story of Larry Macon, a 64 year old lawyer who has completed more than 530 marathons and ultras. Click here for his maniac story.

Di ba manyak na tayo sa ibang bagay? Bakit di natin i-blog yun. Ayuy.
Membership in MM is open as long as you meet the criteria. I am MM#2800 (aiming to reach Iridium level status) and another Pinoy blogger based in the US (Just Running) is also a member. There are many Fil-Ams in the club's roster, now numbering over 3000 worldwide. My blog has a roll of MM members who are also bloggers for those interested. Will await your arrival :-)
Buti ka pa sa CRITERIA ka lang namroblema, ako sa FEE hehe :)
