FUNtastic Palawan! Underground River

A trip to Palawan would never be complete without visiting one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature - the Puerto Princesa Underground River.  This is the highlight of my trip, the very reason why I skipped the National Milo Marathon, and I'm so happy.

The national park that leads you to the river is very beautiful and serene, and the limestone formations while plying the underground river is simply awesome.

Those who will tour inside the underground river were required to wear orange helmets and life-vests.  A trained guide will drive the guests through a kayak.  The guest who takes the front row will have to hold the headlight, and follow the instructions of the guide as to where to focus the light.  Throughout the tour, enjoy the amusing stories of the guide, and try not to open your mouth when looking up (there are bats, and their poop might shoot to your mouth).

Sharing to you some pictures I took in the area.  For more information about the underground river, click here.
